Vast, Unbroken Slabs

Writing novels is hard, and requires vast, unbroken slabs of time. Four quiet hours is a resource that I can put to good use. Two slabs of time, each two hours long, might add up to the same four hours, but are not nearly as productive as an unbroken four.

Interesting. Not a novel writer here, but I find it more productive to work in short periods of time rather than one long period of many hours. To each his own, of course.

Classic example of maker versus manager.

(Also one of my favorite authors; one of my first WP blogs was a Neal Stephenson fan page! 2005 vibes.)
